COVID-19 Statement

Accurate Foot and Diabetic Care and Springfield Podiatry have been in business for over 20 years, and we always focus on what is best for our patients and staff. We keep current on world affairs and rely heavily on research and advice from public health experts. Recently, the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which causes the respiratory disease COVID-19, has prompted worldwide concern and we have kept close watch on all available information.

We have received specific instructions from the Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association that clarifies our "essential services" status as healthcare providers, and as such we are not impacted by the PA Governor's order for all nonessential businesses in this shut-down.

It feels appropriate to communicate our actions to ensure the safety of everyone that enters our practice. Although we are always on the cutting edge of patient care, we have recently enhanced our healthy and safe disinfection protocols to address these concerns.

Please let us know in advance by phone if you have traveled anywhere out of the country in the last four weeks or are not feeling well. We'll review your situation with you and address any concerns.

If you are sick, exhibiting any symptoms of any viral illness (fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat), or are not comfortable leaving the house, we ask that you call us in advance to reschedule your appointment for at least 2 weeks later.

When washing your hands, please wash with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

We have communicated to our staff to stay home if they are feeling ill, or experiencing even minor symptoms. And as a small practice, we know for a fact that none of our team have traveled to any high-risk country in recent months.

While we have always excelled at disinfection in our clinical areas, we have enhanced our healthy and safe disinfection protocols for the other areas of our facility where patient care doesn't occur. We are disinfecting all touch points multiple times daily. Items like pens, door handles, patient chairs, etc. are all likewise being disinfected after each touch.

We will be constantly looking for additional measures to ensure the safety of everyone. As a healthcare practice focused on foot care, it is our intention to remain open so that we are here when you need us. We look forward to seeing you soon for your appointments. Please stay healthy and safe.
